Edition was conceived after recognizing a unique opportunity to bring the downtown NYC aesthetic to the Hamptons market. With New York based stylist Vanessa Packer, Peter Hananel opened his two shops in the town of Southampton and a Montauk outpost within Sole East Resort. The shops represents a new breed of retail – a distinctively curated clothing & lifestyle shop with a selection of highlights and a short-list of respected designers. Edition aims to represent a sense of style that is classic but innovative, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Edition features a tightly edited selection of modern contemporary menswear labels, a curated women's selection including hand chosen vintage pieces, and an eclectic mix of lifestyle items: ranging from surfboards and bikes, to furniture and apothecary items. Edition’s Hamptons outposts are crafted to feel clean and inviting, coupled with a rustic and casually cool feel. There is a strong attention to detail in design, as both locations are constructed eclectically without exaggeration.
